Starting therapy is a courageous step, and I commend you for taking it.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, life transitions, or past experiences weigh you down. You may be navigating burnout, identity shifts, relationship changes, medical stress, trauma, or the cumulative impact of living in a world that does not always support your nervous system or your needs. Holding all of this alone can feel exhausting and isolating, and you do not have to do it by yourself.
My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, gain clarity, and develop practical strategies to create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned. I practice from a relational perspective, draw on a background in addiction therapy to work through ambivalence, offer thoughtful challenge when it is needed, and take an eclectic approach, selecting techniques that fit you rather than forcing you into a rigid model.
I work with adults across a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, identity exploration, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ clients, women navigating life changes, Veterans, survivors of military sexual trauma MST, and individuals seeking personal growth, self compassion, and healing. I also provide self pay bariatric psychological evaluations for surgery clearance and post operative support.
I accept multiple insurance plans and also offer self pay options for clients who prefer greater flexibility, privacy, or are seeking services not covered by insurance.
I work with adults across a wide range of mental health, neurodivergent, and recovery-related concerns. My approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and grounded in over 18 years of clinical experience.
I support individuals navigating:
• ADHD, autism, anxiety, OCD, and other neurodivergent presentations.
• Executive functioning challenges, burnout, masking, and emotional regulation difficulties.
• Substance use and recovery, including alcohol use disorder, drug use, and relapse prevention.
• Behavioral addictions, including gambling and compulsive behaviors.
• Trauma, complex trauma, medical trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.
• Depression, grief, life transitions, and identity-related stress.
• Relationship challenges, boundary setting, and caregiver fatigue.
Specialized experience includes:
• Over 18 years working in addiction treatment and recovery-oriented care.
• Extensive experience supporting veterans, active duty service members, and Department of Defense employees.
• Work with healthcare workers, first responders, and individuals in high-stress or high-responsibility roles.
• Neurodivergent-affirming care for adults who have been misdiagnosed, masked, or misunderstood.
Values that guide my work:
• Care that is inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive.
• Respect for lived experience, identity, and individual context.
• A belief that everyone deserves access to thoughtful, ethical mental health care.
My Approach to Therapy
Therapy should be tailored to fit you. I take a collaborative, strengths based approach that prioritizes your unique needs, values, and goals. I am eclectic in my practice, integrating evidence based therapies with a person centered foundation to ensure you feel heard, validated, and empowered.
I incorporate:
Polyvagal Theory Informed Interventions
I help you tune into and regulate your nervous system, build a sense of safety in the body, and foster resilience through gentle attunement to your physiological state. This approach is especially supportive for trauma survivors, neurodivergent individuals, and clients living with chronic pain or autoimmune conditions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT
Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, examine evidence for and against them, and develop more balanced ways of thinking.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT
We build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness to help you navigate strong emotions.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT
You learn to notice thoughts and feelings without judgment, clarify your values, and take committed action toward a life that matters to you, even in the presence of pain, fatigue, or limitations.
Mindfulness Based Techniques
Through simple practices in session and between sessions, you cultivate present moment awareness, reduce stress, and increase self compassion, while learning to listen to and respect your body’s signals.
Solution Focused Therapy SFT
We focus on your strengths, resources, and past successes to co create concrete strategies and small steps that move you toward your goals, without overwhelming your nervous system.
I also recognize that structured modalities are not right for everyone. That is why I offer flexible, insight driven therapy designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether we are addressing trauma, chronic illness adjustment, pain related grief, burnout, or self esteem, our work will focus on creating a path forward that aligns with your goals, capacities, and inner strengths.
Who I Help
Do you struggle with self doubt, burnout, or feeling disconnected from yourself? Whether you are managing ADHD, anxiety, grief, trauma, chronic illness, or the emotional weight of past experiences, I am here to support you.
I specialize in working with:
• Neurodivergent individuals including ADHD, OCD, learning differences, and masking recovery
• LGBTQIA+ clients seeking affirming, inclusive care
• Women’s mental health and life transitions, including grief, loss, identity shifts, and self compassion
• Individuals living with chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, medical trauma, fatigue, and invisible illness
• Veterans and active duty service members navigating military culture, moral injury, reintegration stress, and identity transitions
• Survivors of military sexual trauma MST, childhood trauma, religious trauma, and narcissistic abuse
• High intensity professionals including military, first responders, medical, legal, and education fields
• Clients facing stress, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, self worth concerns, and burnout
I believe neurodivergence is not a disorder to be fixed, but a natural variation of the human mind. As a neurodivergent clinician myself, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to the work. I also understand the emotional complexity of living in a body that does not always cooperate, and the grief, frustration, and resilience that often accompany chronic illness. My space is fully non pathologizing, where you can be your authentic self without masking or minimizing your experience.
While traditional evidence based treatments have value, many were not designed with neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, or people living with chronic illness in mind and can unintentionally reinforce shame or unrealistic expectations. That is why I blend structured methods with flexibility, compassion, and creativity. I draw from holistic practices, nervous system regulation, and the Living in Balance model to support the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Therapy with me is not about fixing you, but about building a life that works for your brain and body, not against them.
How I Communicate
I prioritize clear, open communication and create a safe, affirming space for you to express yourself. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I balance deep reflective conversation with actionable strategies and will gently challenge you when needed to support growth. Sessions are paced with attention to your nervous system, energy, and health needs. My intention is for you to leave each session feeling heard, validated, and equipped with practical tools you can use in daily life.
What to Expect in Our First Session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and set the foundation for our work together. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, any current concerns or goals, your background, and any health or life context you feel is important to share. If you are unsure where to start, that is completely okay. I will guide the conversation at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and manageable.
Whether you come with specific objectives or need space to explore what you want, we will adjust as needed and ensure your goals remain relevant. Therapy is a partnership, and meaningful change happens when you are ready to engage with openness and intention. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
