Whether you're facing anxiety, life transitions, relationship struggles, chronic stress, trauma, grief and loss, chronic pain, neurodivergence, or substance use concerns, you don’t have to do it alone. Many people also come to therapy navigating burnout, identity questions, religious trauma, or long standing patterns rooted in earlier relationships. Whatever brings you here, you deserve a space that is safe, affirming, and transformative.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) with over 18 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field. I support adults across the lifespan including veterans, military personnel and spouses, healthcare and government workers, therapists, students, individuals in high burnout careers, and neurodivergent clients seeking care that understands how their brain works rather than pathologizes it.
My style is direct, relational, and challenging. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, supported, and respectfully pushed toward growth. I also believe deeply in the mind, body, and spirit connection and recognize that traditional talk therapy often overlooks one or more essential parts of healing. Relational therapy means we examine how past and present relationships shape your sense of self, your boundaries, and the way you connect with others. Together, we develop tools and insight to move you toward a more empowered and aligned life.
I specialize in anxiety disorders, neurodivergence, depression, burnout, grief and loss, adult survivors of narcissistic abuse, religious trauma, chronic stress, chronic pain, addiction, life transitions, and identity development. I offer a neurodivergent affirming approach, integrating Polyvagal Theory to support nervous system awareness, emotional regulation, embodiment, and resilience.
My work is guided by the TIDES approach:
T – Transformation: Turning pain into powerful growth
I – Insight: Gaining clarity about patterns and strengths
D – Direction: Charting a purposeful course forward
E – Empowerment: Building confidence and autonomy
S – Support: Creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space
I draw from evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, and mindfulness based tools. Sessions are practical, collaborative, and tailored to your goals, helping you build a renewed path aligned with your authentic self.
My passion lies in empowering clients to build resilience, reclaim joy, and lead more fulfilling lives. As a non judgmental, affirming therapist with extensive experience in mental health, addiction, trauma recovery, and self transformation, I offer a trauma informed space that supports you as you grow. I believe change begins when you cultivate self awareness, embrace authenticity, and discover your own capacity for healing.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Adult Education (MAEd) from East Carolina University. Over the course of my career, I have worked across nearly every level of care, including criminal justice programs, court systems, hospitals, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and detox and crisis stabilization programs. I have also directed mental health programs and provided specialized care through telehealth, reinforcing my commitment to accessible, comprehensive mental health services.
Reaching out takes courage, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way. Together, we will create a meaningful path forward built on purpose, resilience, and fulfillment.

Who We Are
-
Clinical Experience & Practice Settings
I earned my degree in criminal justice with an initial focus on forensics, drawn to understanding behavior and the systems that respond to harm. Over time, I realized my passion extended beyond analysis and outcomes and that I wanted to understand the why behind behavior and help people change their lives in meaningful ways. I chose to leave the forensic and legal world behind to pursue social work, where I could work directly with people, support healing at its source, and walk alongside individuals in recovery, growth, and transformation.
I tailor treatment to the client’s goals, nervous system needs, values, and lived experience, with an emphasis on collaboration, autonomy, and sustainable change.
Professional Philosophy
I believe healing happens at the intersection of safety, insight, and empowerment. My work honors the whole person — mind, body, identity, and context — while balancing compassion with thoughtful challenge. Whether providing therapy, supervision, or consultation, my goal is to create a space where clarity emerges, resilience strengthens, and meaningful change becomes possible
I have over 18 years of experience providing psychotherapy, supervision, and program leadership across a wide range of clinical environments, including:
Federal healthcare systems
Veterans Affairs medical centers
Military and Department of Defense behavioral health programs
Inpatient and outpatient mental health services
Substance use disorder treatment programs
Intensive outpatient and residential programs
Transitional housing and homelessness services
Child welfare and protective services
Hospice and end-of-life care
Telehealth and virtual behavioral health programs
My roles have included clinician, supervisor, program manager, subject-matter expert, educator, and acting service chief. I have led multidisciplinary teams, built programs from the ground up, and provided care to high-acuity and high-risk populations.
